My husband and father are very big on growing fruits and veggies in their gardens. My Dad must spend at least 3 hours a day taking care of his plants. My husband, on the other hand, works a million hours a week and cannot dedicate as much time to his. Here is where I come in. My husband recently bought 2 new fig trees and hasn't gotten a chance to plant them. They are sitting on the side of my house just starving for love. When my Dad comes over, he constantly complains to me that P should not have spent money on trees if he is not going to care for them. One night, my Dad said to P that he should water them every night until he gets time to plant them. The next day as P is leaving for work, he asks me to water the figs. I said o.k., it's no big deal. The next day, P calls me from work and asks me to water the figs again. I was like, what the ----. Since when is it my job to care for his plants? Every day since then I now just take the initiative and water the figs daily. I have officially confirmed that the trees are mine now, since I am the one who is loving them. Look, the figs are now growing so beautifully:)
