Latch Key Kids

So check this out. The boy next door to my parents has been ringing their doorbell around 11:00 p.m. for the past two nights and then running away. We do not have any proof that it is him but you can see the footprints in the rocks that lead to my parents house from his front yard. Last night he decided to leave a not saying, "Run, run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man." Did you ever??? He also noted that he likes to watch them look around for him and try to find him. This is the result to two working parents who pay no attention to their 12 year old only child. This kid has nothing to do all summer long so he HAS to start trouble. Let me catch him, I'll knock his teeth in. Actually, I think I'll sit upstairs by my bedroom window and keep watch. It's just about the right time for his little escapade.

Oh, btw both kids had a great day, which makes me really happy. Karate is good, my son M is learning a little more self control and my daughter is doing wonderfully in dance. Last week she had a problem with her new ballet teacher, who is so strict. Today G (my daughter) knew her boundaries and did not cross them. Live and learn. If you keep letting a child get away with bad behavior, they will continue to act in an unacceptable manner.
